Procrastination

This story is about me when I was 10 years old……..
I am afternoon school sessions. The clock is shown at 11 .30 am, but I’m still watching television. It has been many times my mother told me to get ready in half an hour because the bus will arrive. “You are, if I’m always told was a delay.'' ''In a little while longer I go shower. The bus is late.''
“I’m has been thought and don’t blame to me if you left the bus again. In this two weeks is already four times because you miss the bus to school. Remember what the Prophet Muhammad messages. Grab five things before the arrival of five cases, the young before old, before the crowded field, well before the sick, rich before the poor, and life before death.”I’m directly absorbed in watching television. Suddenly, I remembered that my homework is not completed. "Oh certainly could not do it! Bath and get ready again, like eating more.....Ishhhh…. why I’m not remember the early days just now?" I’m mustache alone. I was getting messy, buffalo just bathing. "Masyaallah, what did you do this? I has been talk of the earlier order is ready. The time at running out.""Ma .. Ma .. Do not be angry with me. I'm sorry for like tough work, but mama please help me to do my science homework." "I do not want to help. Let this be a lesson for you to not delay the work again." "Drop it, I would be fine with you today's Science! "That is the consequence of not listening to me. Quickly go out to eat. Let see the bus. Don’t forget to take a bottle of water and money at the table." "Okay mom. I promise never again grace the work. I will follow your advice."

MY DREAM

Ever since I was a child I dreamed of becoming a successful woman. Success to me is when I have a master's degree in Information Technology, a career, and a family. I'm determined to have it all. Education is very important to me. I believe knowledge is the utmost valuable tool for life, therefore going to college and getting an education, a master's degree, will give me great knowledge. The knowledge I gather will help my path to success. I'm ready to face any obstacle that comes my way. I'm certain nothing will defeat me, because I will not give up on my self, or my dream to success.

My Family is the most important thing to me. I want to be a mother one day. I think children are the most precious thing in life. My success will not be completed if I don't have a family to share my life with. A house full of laughter would be my ultimate success. I want to give a better life to my mother and my father too. They have sacrificed their dreams for my dreams and I want to take good care of them. I want to have my own.

If I could be someone for a day I would have to say it would be Cassie Steele. She isn't well known in the music world but I Like that she is a singer song writer and she tours and she lives off of what she loves to do. Performing in front of a crowd and recording her creations and putting them on an album. Being her would be awesome to be able to think and know that even though you may not be crazy famous, but people do know your music and it does inspire others. For me wishing this isn’t what I really wish for. Matter of fact I don’t have to wish I know that someday I am going to be a song writing, recording artist. I know that someday my music will inspire other people. And then maybe someday someone will be writing a blog about wanting to be me. But, for this blog that I have been assigned I chose to be Cassie Steele.

My favorite childhood memory consists of the birthday parties my parents gave me when I was about eight or nine years old. My school class had about twenty children. When it came time to send the invitations, my mother said, "Just invite them all. They won't all come." Right? Wrong.

When the appointed day and time came, the doorbell didn't stop ringing. My mother hurriedly sent my father to the store to buy more hot dogs and buns.

My mother was a baker, so naturally, I had the best birthday cakes in town. The cakes were decorated with a fairy tale theme such as Cinderella, The Old Woman Who lived In the Shoe and Mary Had a Little Lamb. The old woman's shoe and Cinderella's pumpkin coach were made from cake with lots of whip cream and butter cream frosting.

Yum yum!

The children ate and drank with gusto. Happy Birthday was sung with much laughter and glee. Presents were opened with much fanfare.

Next the children proceeded to the games. The games consisted of musical chairs, Pin the Tail on the Donkey and Drop the clothes pin in the Bottle.

PRAYER

Prayer in Islam is worship of Allah the Almighty, Praising and Thanking Him, acknowledging His Sovereignty and committing oneself to obey and remember Him at all times. It is the central part of a way of life, which is based on submission to the Owner of all.

The Muslim must seek to remember Allah at all times. He must be mindful that everything he is, everything He does, everything He knows, and understands, is due to the Mercy of Allah. In acknowledging this, He remembers the fact that death lies in wait and he does not know when he will depart from this wordly life.

Five times a day, he stands in prayer. Focusing all his thoughts on the Creator. He praises thanks and acknowledges the Greatness of Allah and seeks His forgiveness. His sins pass before his consciousness and render him humble before the Majesty of the One who owns all things,, including the Day of Judgment. He stands, conscious that Allah Sees Him at all times and that in prostration he is the closest to His Maker.

The Muslim realizes that the Angel of death could be behind him at anytime, that Jannah (Paradise) lies on his right and the fire of hell is on his left. The truth of his actions and their consequences are unknown to him and as his prayers, his heart is moved by sincere intent to strive harder, work more, study more, forgive more and share more.

He comes out of the state of prayer, feeling renewed, more determined to use what remains of his time in the most beneficial way. An angry shout or unkind word, stops on the same lips that recite the Qur'an and remembers Allah. Hands reaching forth in greed and hate retreat to find better solutions. Hasty careless words, dismal thoughts and attitudes disappear beneath the light that shrouds the mind of the one who prays because of their love and fear of Allah.

CURRENT ISSUE!!

Lately , it seems that there are certain group who are unhappy with the teaching of Science and Mathematics in English , especially when they protested today in front of the Istana and to give a memorandum to our King. For me , its fine as this is democracy , folks can have rally to protest and this is what is democracy all about. Police would be there as usual to protect people and to prevent them from going overboard. Not to forget that they too have to protect our King.

Anyway , what I think that is Maths and Science should be thought in English because it provides many benefits for the student. I am not against Bahasa Malaysia (the Malay language) and I do know that its our national language , but what I am saying that if we want to give our students the x-factor that they need when they want to say study aboard then certainly maths and science in English would do the trick. Plus on top of that , we need folks who are well verse in both of the languages if you want to contribute something to the country. For instance , if our command of the language is poor in Science and Mathematical terms , it would be hard to negotiate a deal or work with foreign clients and so on. As for protecting the Bahasa or the Malay language , I am sure that we do have other ways – for instance History , Geography are thought in Malay. Not only that , basically you can’t forget Malay nor its status would ‘degrade’ as its stated in the constitution that Malay language is the official language

Secondly there are lots of reference books which are written in English then any other languages. This makes it students easier to refer whenever they want to find something. Its even possible to find YouTube videos on how to solve mathematical question and such. This makes it easier for them to gain knowledge and to understand more.

These are just some of the advantages of teaching maths and science in English. What I am suggesting to the government is that in order to satisfy these groups , Maths and Science should be thought in Malay – give it as a extra class for those who think that they want to gain this extra knowledge in Bahasa. It would satisfy both the parties. I’m not sure about you , but certainly I’ve benefited from learning Maths and Science in English. Otherwise , trust me I’ve heard horror stories from my lecturer that students do face the hard time when they are in Universities or in Colleges whereby medium of instruction is in English. These students get confused with the English term as keep in mind that they don’t know the terms in English.
